About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Equipment Specialist to join our team at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for a wide range of medical equipment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing, repair, calibration, and acceptance testing on medical equipment.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues on the use and maintenance of medical equipment.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure the acquisition of medical equipment that meets the needs of the trust.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to promote understanding of medical equipment concepts within the trust.
Requirements
  • Degree-level qualification in electronics or a related field.
  • Proven experience in medical equipment servicing and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment safety standards, including IEC 601.
  • Ability to work with technical manuals and schematic diagrams.
  • Experience with equipment management information systems and databases.
