Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Weight Control Specialist to join our team at BAE Systems.
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
About the Role
This is a critical position within our Weight Engineering Team, responsible for estimating and presenting mass properties data for multi-billion pound submarine programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collate and aggregate weight and centroid reports for senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with system design engineers to estimate mass properties with associated uncertainties.
- Interrogate CAD models to determine estimates for mass properties.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of parts mass properties.
Requirements
- Qualified in a STEM subject or extensive experience.
- CEng/IEng status or a clear pathway to achieving professional recognition.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
