Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Weight Control Specialist to join our team at BAE Systems.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

About the Role

This is a critical position within our Weight Engineering Team, responsible for estimating and presenting mass properties data for multi-billion pound submarine programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collate and aggregate weight and centroid reports for senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with system design engineers to estimate mass properties with associated uncertainties.
  • Interrogate CAD models to determine estimates for mass properties.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of parts mass properties.

Requirements

  • Qualified in a STEM subject or extensive experience.
  • CEng/IEng status or a clear pathway to achieving professional recognition.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
