Dental Practice Director

Smile Dental Centre is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the practice meets regulatory and contractual standards while maintaining financial viability.
Main Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the practice team, ensuring effective management of resources and operations.
- Develop and implement business plans, financial reports, and quality improvement initiatives to drive practice growth and excellence.
- Collaborate with the practice team to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Manage staff performance, development, and well-being, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Oversee the practice's operational delivery, including coordination of services, patient engagement, and data analysis.
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with other organizations to benefit the practice and enhance patient care.
- Ensure the practice's security, maintenance, and compliance with Health & Safety at Work legislation.
- Manage the practice's finances, including income, expenditure, and accounts, preparing financial reports as required.
- Implement and maintain systems, under direction from the partners, to ensure efficient practice operations.
- Handle patient enquiries, suggestions, and complaints, overseeing the practice-based complaints procedure.
- Review and update the practice's information leaflet and website, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Manage the practice's computer system, including maintenance and developments, to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure practice compliance with data protection legislation, preparing practice business plans and annual reports as directed.
We are seeking a candidate with:
- CQC experience and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Experience working as a practice manager, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to drive a team forward.
- Private and NHS practice experience, with a deep understanding of the dental sector.
- CQC registered manager status, with a strong commitment to quality and patient care.
- Bookkeeping experience, with a solid understanding of financial management.
- Social media skills, with the ability to engage with patients and promote the practice.
- Reliability, maturity, punctuality, and a willingness to learn, present, and work hard.
- The ability to work under pressure, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
- Experience in the medical/dental sector, with a passion for dentistry and a commitment to excellence.
- Desirable skills include management experience, treatment coordinator skills, and experience with medical/dental software.
