Smile Dental Centre is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Manager to lead our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the practice meets regulatory and contractual standards while maintaining financial viability.
Main Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide solid leadership based on a sound knowledge of business management, finance, planning, and human resource management, including recruitment.
- Operational Delivery: Co-ordinate and lead the operational delivery of services, engaging with staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Present and analyse data to monitor quality and meet reporting requirements.
- Staff Management: Effectively manage staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Partnerships and Collaborations: Develop effective partnerships with other organisations to benefit the practice.
- Facilities and Equipment: Take responsibility for the security, repairs, insurance, and maintenance of the premises, services, and equipment.
- Health and Safety: Ensure the practice complies with all aspects of Health & Safety at Work legislation.
- Financial Management: Manage all income, expenditure, and accounts, as well as preparing financial reports.
- System Implementation and Maintenance: Implement and maintain systems under direction from the partners.
- Patient Enquiries and Complaints: Handle patient enquiries and suggestions, including oversight of the practice-based complaints procedure.
- Practice Marketing and Communications: Review and update the practice's information leaflet and website, and handle practice publicity and health education materials.
- IT and Data Protection: Be involved in managing the computer system, including organising any maintenance and developments to the system, and ensuring practice compliance with data protection legislation.
- Business Planning and Reporting: Prepare practice business plans and annual reports, as directed.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- CQC Experience: Experience working in a CQC-regulated environment.
- Practice Management Experience: Experience working as a practice manager.
- Leadership and Motivation Skills: Skills to motivate and drive a team forward.
- Private and NHS Practice Experience: Experience working in both private and NHS practices.
- CQC Registered Manager: CQC registered manager status.
- Bookkeeping Experience: Bookkeeping experience.
- Social Media Skills: Social media skills.
- Reliability and Punctuality: Be reliable, mature, punctual, willing to learn, presentable, and hard working.
- Pressure Management: Possess the ability to work under pressure.
- Medical/Dental Sector Experience: Some experience in the medical/dental sector.
- Passion for Dentistry: Be passionate about dentistry.
- Management Experience: Some experience of management will be desirable.
- Can-Do Attitude: Able to demonstrate an excellent can-do attitude.
- Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills.
- Team Player: A fast learner and team player.
- Treatment Coordinator Experience: Treatment coordinator skills and experience is desirable.
