Dental Practice Director

Smile Dental Centre is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the practice meets regulatory and contractual standards while maintaining financial viability.
Main Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the practice team, ensuring effective management of resources and operations.
- Develop and implement business plans, financial reports, and quality improvement initiatives to drive practice growth and excellence.
- Collaborate with the practice team to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Manage staff performance, development, and well-being, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Oversee the practice's operational delivery, including patient engagement, service coordination, and data analysis.
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with other organizations to benefit the practice and enhance patient care.
- Ensure the practice's security, maintenance, and compliance with Health & Safety at Work legislation.
- Manage the practice's finances, including income, expenditure, and accounts, preparing financial reports as required.
- Implement and maintain systems, under direction from the partners, to ensure efficient practice operations.
- Handle patient enquiries, suggestions, and complaints, overseeing the practice-based complaints procedure.
- Review and update the practice's information leaflet and website, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Manage the practice's computer system, including maintenance and developments, to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure practice compliance with data protection legislation, maintaining confidentiality and security of patient data.
- Prepare practice business plans and annual reports, as directed, to inform strategic decision-making.
We are seeking a candidate with:
- CQC experience and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience working as a Practice Manager, with a track record of success.
- Excellent leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to drive a team forward.
- Private and NHS practice experience, with a strong understanding of the dental sector.
- CQC registered manager status.
- Bookkeeping experience and skills in financial management.
- Social media skills and ability to engage with patients and stakeholders.
- Reliability, maturity, punctuality, and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Ability to work under pressure, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Passion for dentistry and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
- Desirable experience in management, with a strong understanding of business operations and finance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, staff, and stakeholders.
