We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in the Birmingham area.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will work 1-2-1 with a child in Year 2 who has Autism and is non-verbal, providing support and care to enable them to reach their full potential.

As a Teaching Assistant for Special Needs, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans that meet the unique needs of each student.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive environment, making a real difference in the lives of young people with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils to access the curriculum, including developing and implementing individualized learning plans
  • Contribute to the health and well-being of pupils, including supporting physical and emotional development
  • Provide support for bilingual/multilingual pupils where appropriate
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS on the updated service
  • SEND experience is essential
  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent and proven experience of working with children or individuals with special needs
