Job Title: Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team at Healthnet Homecare. As a key member of our operations department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medication to our patients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Undertake the role of the Responsible Pharmacist, ensuring correct records are maintained and SOPs are followed.
  • Carry out clinical screening of prescriptions to ensure appropriateness for the patient.
  • Provide counselling and advice to patients by telephone, email, or in person as required.
  • Record interventions made on the electronic patient record as required by SOPs.
  • Understand pharmacovigilance regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Undertake final accuracy checking efficiently and accurately when required.
  • Ensure the Healthnet Homecare pharmacy operation meets all regulatory, contractual, and procedural requirements.
  • Provide professional supervision of the pharmacy team.
  • Provide advice and guidance to pharmacy colleagues to ensure skills and experience are shared.
  • Undertake pharmacy audits as required.
  • Support the Pharmacy Superintendent and Operations Manager in the development of SOPs and pharmacy services.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with referring centre prescribers, pharmacists, and nurses.
  • Provide professional support and advice about medicines to Healthnet's nursing team.
Requirements:
  • MPharm Degree or equivalent qualification that meets the Criteria for initial registration as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Experience in a Homecare Pharmacy setting (advantageous).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with strong written and oral skills.
  • Strong judgement skills and decision-making ability.
