About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our dynamic team at HealthNet Homecare. As a key member of our operations department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of homecare services to our patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Responsible Pharmacist: Ensure correct records are maintained and follow relevant SOPs and Company policy and procedure.
  • Carry out clinical screening of prescriptions to ensure appropriateness for the patient.
  • Provide counselling and advice to patients by telephone, email or in person as required.
  • Record interventions made on the electronic patient record as required by the relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Understand pharmacovigilance regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Undertake final accuracy checking efficiently and accurately when required to do so.
  • Ensure that the HealthNet Homecare pharmacy operation meets all regulatory, contractual, agreed procedural and external service requirements.
  • Provide professional supervision of the pharmacy team.
  • Provide advice and guidance to pharmacy colleagues to ensure skills and experience are shared and used to the benefit of the pharmacy and individuals.
  • Undertake pharmacy audits as required.
  • Support the Pharmacy Superintendent and Pharmacy Operations Manager in the development and improvement of Standard Operating Procedures and all other aspects of HealthNet's Pharmacy Homecare Service.
  • Proactively build and maintain effective working relationships with referring centre prescribers, pharmacists, and nurses, taking professional responsibility for the development and enhancement of services provided.
  • Provide professional support and advice about medicines to HealthNet's nursing team.
Requirements
  • MPharm Degree or equivalent qualification that meets the Criteria for initial registration as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Experience in a Homecare Pharmacy setting (advantageous).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with strong written and oral skills.
  • Strong judgement skills and decision-making ability.
