Job Title: Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team at Healthnet Homecare. As a key member of our operations department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medication to our patients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Undertake the role of the Responsible Pharmacist, ensuring correct records are maintained and adhering to relevant SOPs and Company policy and procedure.
  • Carry out clinical screening of prescriptions, ensuring appropriateness for the patient and providing counselling and advice as required.
  • Record interventions made on the electronic patient record, adhering to relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Understand pharmacovigilance regulatory and contractual requirements, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Provide professional supervision of the pharmacy team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Support the Pharmacy Superintendent and Pharmacy Operations Manager in the development and improvement of Standard Operating Procedures and all other aspects of Healthnet's Pharmacy Homecare Service.
  • Proactively build and maintain effective working relationships with referring centre prescribers, pharmacists, and nurses, taking professional responsibility for the development and enhancement of services provided.
Requirements:
  • MPharm Degree or equivalent qualification that meets the Criteria for initial registration as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Experience in a Homecare Pharmacy setting, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong judgement skills and decision-making ability, with a focus on patient safety and quality.
