About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales Ledger and Billing Officer to join our established finance team at our Head Office in Bromsgrove. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the Group achieves cash collection targets and minimises debts of concern.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Raising Sales Invoices: The successful candidate will be responsible for raising sales invoices in line with customer invoicing terms to pre-agreed systemised billing set up.
  2. Chasing Local Authority Accounts: The candidate will be required to chase local authority accounts for payment of invoices and deal with any queries that may arise.
  3. Cash Allocation: The successful candidate will be responsible for allocating cash received against the ledger.
  4. Debt Reduction: The candidate will be required to reduce current debtor days on ledger to agreed target, per customer, per region.
Requirements
  1. Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills: The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to network at all levels.
  2. Experience in a Similar Role: The candidate will have experience within a similar role and chasing Local Authorities for payments.
