Description of the Job

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Barrow-in-Furness. The successful candidate will be responsible for the analysis and design of complex steel structures, utilising Eurocodes, British Standards and BAE standards, to support submarine build.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural steel analysis and design, with expertise in Eurocodes and British Standards. They will also have excellent knowledge of computer-based analytical techniques, including finite element analysis, CAD modelling and engineering schematics.

In this role, you will be working closely with our design team to produce safety-critical equipment. You will also be responsible for supporting the manufacturing, assembly, lifting, handling, and installation processes of Submarine Structures, Modules and Components.

About the Salary

The salary for this position is around £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.

About the Team

You will be part of a dual-function team consisting of 14 people at various seniority levels. The team is responsible for engineering assessments of the designs in support of build.
