Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Engineer at BAE Systems, you will be working with a dynamic team responsible for engineering assessments of designs in support of build.

This is a challenging role that requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and design complex steel structures utilising Eurocodes and British Standards.
  • Support manufacturing, assembly, lifting, handling, and installation processes.
  • Work closely with design teams to produce equipment and/or support operation in production.
  • Utilise computer-based analytical techniques, including finite element analysis and CAD modelling.

Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree (BEng/MEng) or equivalent.
  • Experience in undertaking hand analysis and design techniques.
  • Understanding of Eurocodes and British Standards.
  • Good understanding of mechanical engineering, structural steelwork, and lifting handling.
  • Working knowledge of ABAQUS, S-Frame, Foran, MathCAD, and Excel.

Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
