About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join our People team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in driving change and improving the experience of our staff and leaders through the provision of best-in-class employee relations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist advice and support on employee relations matters, including discipline, grievance management, poor performance, and attendance.
  • Manage complex employee relations cases, including investigations and employment tribunal claims.
  • Develop and implement inclusive conflict resolution approaches and promote Agreed Outcomes to resolve formal cases quickly and effectively.
  • Line manage the Senior/Employee Relations Advisors and oversee the workload of the ER Advisors.
  • Design, develop, and implement structured training sessions for line managers on Employee Relations policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in employee relations, including advising on a broad range of ER issues and developing practical value-adding solutions.
  • Experience of managing multiple complex ER cases from a strategic perspective and managing staff.
  • Formal training in a relevant topic such as coaching, mediation, or employment law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver multiple concurrent activities within agreed deadlines and to agreed standards.
