Job Summary

Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (CNTW) is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Physiotherapist to join our team. As a Specialist Physiotherapist, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals living with dementia and complex, enduring mental health conditions.

Main Duties

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Physiotherapist or a Physiotherapist looking to develop into a Band 6 role. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver specialist assessment and management and physiotherapy service provision for service users with complex physiotherapy needs.

You will contribute to the service development and implementation of evidence-based core pathways across community services, while also contributing to the inpatient team from this perspective. Using research, innovation, and quality improvement, you will work to deliver high-quality care to our patients.

Person Specification

Qualifications and Membership

  • Recognised Physiotherapy degree qualification or equivalent
  • HCPC Registered
  • Further relevant post-qualifying training

Knowledge and Experience

  • Awareness and understanding of professional accountability, HCPC and CSP standards, and other local and national initiatives
  • Proven track record of post-registration clinical experience relevant to the post
  • Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience of providing physiotherapy services

Written

  • Skills in a range of appropriate standardised and informal assessments
  • Highly developed communication skills
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively within multi-agency teams
  • Ability to use IT systems
  • Risk Assessment/management skills
