Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at our $100M plant in Burton on Trent. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the finance team, ensuring all financial deliverables are achieved within stipulated timelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Planning and Analysis: Prepare and present month-end reporting packs for multiple business units, including JIT Production, European Service Parts, and Drop Shipment.
- Financial Reporting: Report all key financial data to Plant Management, Business Unit Management, and Operations groups.
- Cost Management: Engage with operational teams to support CCM, ensuring production updates are monitored and suitable mitigation actions are taken for significant changes.
- Annual Planning: Prepare and load financial information for the annual planning cycle, liaising and supporting budget holders in the planning process.
- Financial Governance: Ensure all legal regulations in accounting and finance are adhered to, including Sarbanes Oxley legislation.
- Audit and Compliance: Audit other internal departments in relation to SOX requirements.
- Qualifications: Fully CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified, with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience managing a small financial team at a senior level, with experience in a senior accounting role within a manufacturing, food, FMCG, or similar fast-paced environment.
- Skills: Knowledge and experience of SAP and Hyperion (HFM/XL load & retrieve), understanding of or knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft packages and systems.
- Competitive Salary: Senior basic salary, with a company car or car allowance to the value of £450 per month.
- Annual Bonus: Max 5% based on personal and business performance.
- Hybrid Working: Available after an initial 6-month probationary period, with a maximum of 2 days at home.
- Holiday Entitlement: 34 days holiday, including bank holidays.
- Pension Scheme: Enhanced pension scheme, with open-ended employee contribution and employer contribution max 6%.
- Private Health Scheme: Eligible to join a private health scheme for self and family.
