Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Plant Engineer to join our Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for various Turbine Island design development activities, working closely with multi-disciplined teams and the supply chain to deliver the Turbine Island design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review Heat Balance Diagrams for the Turbine Island and conventional plant systems.
  • Ensure seamless integration of Turbine Island design into the overall power plant.
  • Adhere to statutory H&S policies, project quality, and the Quality Management System.

Your Background:

Industry Experience: Previous work in nuclear, thermal power, oil & gas, or other highly regulated sectors.

Technical Strength: Extensive technical background in thermal power systems or similar projects.

Project Management: Skilled in identifying and managing critical interfaces on major projects.

Safety Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of UK Health and Safety regulations, safety systems, HAZOP, and engineering standards.

Systems Engineering: Awareness or experience in Systems Engineering is a plus.

Confidentiality: Professional in handling sensitive nuclear information, adhering to export control obligations.

Education: Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in engineering.

Professional Registration: CEng or working towards it.
