Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our processing plant. This includes managing assets and utilities, as well as providing technical support and guidance to the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with statutory legal requirements and company policies
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture
  • Assist the maintenance team in maintaining plant and equipment
  • Work with the Engineering Manager to plan shutdown work and intrusive safety critical jobs
  • Contribute to the development of project plans and improvements
  • Manage the provision of suitable documentation and resources for engineering activities
  • Encourage and challenge the engineering team to optimise plant and equipment
  • Review and assess capex projects for new plant and equipment
  • Track departmental spend and provide regular forecasts
Requirements
  • Comprehensive range of processing plant knowledge
  • Management or supervisory experience
  • Qualified with a mechanical engineering degree
  • Strong multi-discipline background
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
