We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Administrative Support Officer to join our Trauma and Orthopaedics secretarial team. The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive support service to the medical secretaries and clinical teams, including dealing with enquiries, correspondence, filing, and uploading dictation.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Typing clinics, letters, reports, and other patient-related documentation with high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Filing and maintaining computerized files in accordance with Trust policy.
  • Retrieving, logging, and returning case notes/medical records in a timely manner.
  • Undertaking administrative and clerical duties as required.
  • Updating and maintaining a working knowledge of hospital systems to ensure efficient communication with colleagues and external agencies.

Person Specification

  • Certificate in Medical Terminology.
