Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Care Assistant to join our team at Statham Manor Care Centre in Lymm, Cheshire. As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering hands-on care to residents, supporting them to enjoy a good quality of life, and contributing to the efficient and effective running of the care home. You will work closely with the care team to develop and implement individual care plans, ensuring that each resident receives the highest level of care and support.

Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality care to residents in line with agreed care plans
• Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life, including promoting their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being
• Model best practice when delivering care, demonstrating a sound knowledge of the 6 principles of care and how they underpin the delivery of care in a residential setting
• Assist residents in all aspects of their care needs, including personal care, medication management, and mobility assistance
• Contribute to the daily records of residents, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information about their care needs and progress
• Work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating self-motivation and confidence in your abilities

Requirements
• Experience as a Care Assistant in a care environment (preferable)
• Care certificate or equivalent (or willingness to achieve within 12 months of employment)
• Evidence of good care practice knowledge relating to the care of older people
• Ability to work in a team and demonstrate self-motivation and confidence
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
