About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Community Mental Health Team in South Kent Coast CMHT. As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions to individuals with mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify individuals' strengths, needs, and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans to promote independence, well-being, and recovery.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and support workers, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Provide supervision and mentoring to junior occupational therapists and support workers.
  • Contribute to service development and audits to ensure high-quality care.
  • Take on a lead professional role as appropriate, working closely with other occupational therapy colleagues and the multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC Registered.
  • Experience completing OT assessments and interventions.
  • Experience working in the community and managing a caseload.
  • Experience working with service users with mental health difficulties.
