About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Food Production Team as a Chef Assistant. As an Apprentice Chef, you will have the opportunity to develop your culinary skills and knowledge while working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of a wide range of dishes to the highest quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the Food Production Team to ensure efficient and effective food production.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your culinary skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic digital skills and ability to use everyday equipment and tools.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Recent experience of building and fostering positive working relationships as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage time to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Recent experience of working to recipes.
  • Positive 'can do' attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work flexibly.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Friendly, positive and courteous demeanor.
Desirable Criteria
  • Evidence of personal development to maintain skills.
  • Experience of collaboratively working in a team.
  • Level 2 Basic food safety hygiene certification.
  • Experience of working in a customer-focused service.
  • Previous experience of maintaining a clean working environment.
