Role Overview
The successful candidate will work within the Savills Birmingham Planning Team, providing planning services to a diverse range of clients in the Midlands. The team's expertise spans a wide range of projects, including strategic urban extensions, new settlements, major industrial and logistics developments, retail repurposing, and town centre regeneration. We work with a variety of high-profile clients, including landowners, private individuals, institutions, developers, promoters, national and regional house builders, commercial/leisure operators, and investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and present competitive proposals to clients.
- Design and implement creative solutions to meet client needs.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform planning decisions.
- Contribute to the preparation and editing of planning supporting documents, including design and access statements, sustainability statements, and planning appraisals.
- Prepare and promote land through the local plan process, including examination in public.

- 5 years of post-qualified experience in planning.
- Commercial acumen and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.

Team Overview
This position of Associate Planner is a strategic role within the Birmingham Planning Team and the wider Savills Birmingham Office. The team is part of the largest planning consultancy in the UK, with over 300 planning specialists covering every land use sector and geographical area. The successful candidate will work in our new multi-service office located at 55 Colmore Row, Birmingham. The Savills Birmingham Office is a growing and dynamic team, with a wide range of expertise and services.
