Senior Town Planner Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Town Planner to join our team at Penguin Recruitment. As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in supporting and delivering on a broad range of planning applications, including residential, mixed-use developments, data centres, airports, retail, logistics, and major infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage planning casework independently, including strategic planning work and the preparation of representations to Local Plan consultations.
  • Develop planning strategies to promote land and development for inclusion in Local Plans.
  • Support Planning Directors in successfully delivering their planning caseload, including preparing Planning Statements and representations to Local Plan consultations.
Requirements:
  • MRTPI chartered town planner (or working towards) with experience in a planning consultancy or local government role.
  • Strong working knowledge of planning policy, or work in a planning policy role beneficial.
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver, with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
