Job Title: Senior Town Planner

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Town Planner to join our team at Penguin Recruitment. As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in supporting and delivering on a broad range of planning applications, including residential, mixed-use developments, data centres, airports, retail, logistics, and major infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage planning casework independently, including strategic planning work, representation to Local Plan consultations, and development of planning strategies to promote land and development for inclusion in Local Plans.

* Support Planning Directors in successfully delivering their planning caseload, including preparing Planning Statements and representations to Local Plan consultations.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement planning strategies that meet business objectives.

Requirements:

* MRTPI chartered town planner (or working towards) with experience in a planning consultancy or local government role.

* Strong working knowledge of planning policy, or work in a planning policy role beneficial.

* Strategic thinker and problem solver, with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
