About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our specialist multi-disciplinary team at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing specialist support to enable people with learning disabilities to live their lives fully.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a clinical caseload, providing assessment and interventions for individuals with learning disabilities. You will work towards maximising a person's quality of life by providing clinical expertise, behavioural and/or engagement support.
Key Skills and Qualities
We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to work well as part of a team. You will be required to work closely with all stakeholders and promote effective collaborative working with all those involved in the person's life.

Person Specification
- Registered Healthcare Professional with relevant Professional body (Occupational Therapist / HCPC)
- Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Experience of recent community healthcare gained through education or work experience placement or previous employment
- Awareness of professional issues and recent developments in the NHS
- Knowledge of up to date clinical practice
- Legislation and policies relating to people with a learning disability
