About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to lead our team of school nurses in Central Lancashire. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people by promoting health, wellbeing, and providing essential care.

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver the Healthy Child Programme, including assessment of health needs, development, implementation, and evaluation of packages of care. You will use evidence-based practice to develop and maintain a high-quality standard for Specialist Public Health Nurse/School Nursing practice.

You will also participate in effective partnership working with other agencies and take a lead professional role where appropriate. In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills by undertaking mentorship responsibilities to both pre-registration and SCPHN students while on placement within the service.

Requirements
  • A valid UK driving licence is required for work purposes; however, we can accommodate certain exceptions.
  • A passion to drive positive change to children and families and use the platform HCRG Care Group offers to suggest innovative improvements.

We offer a competitive salary of £42,140 - £54,569 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as NHS Pension, Agenda for Change terms and conditions, and access to exclusive rewards and discounts.
