About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Healthcare Team Leader to join our team at St Philips Care Group. As a Healthcare Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of care workers to provide high-quality care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and coordinate a team of care workers to provide excellent care to residents
- Assume responsibilities of the Manager in their absence
- Create an environment that respects the rights and wishes of residents and encourages person-centered care
- Support the Manager in the overall management of the home
- Ensure a system is in place to promote residents' participation in the planning and reviewing of care
- Be responsible for the care planning process, maintaining appropriate medication, and care delivery for a designated group of service users
- Understand the right of the individual to confidentiality
- Moving and handling, dressing, and assisting residents in their daily hygiene and dressing needs
- Observing and reporting any changes in residents' condition
- Report to Manager any hazard or unsafe equipment that may be injurious to the health and safety of staff, residents, and visitors
- Attend in-service training arranged as part of staff development and mandatory training
- Ensure service is delivered in accordance with all relevant policies, procedures, and practices
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- NVQ 3 / MA L3 in Health and Social Care or working towards it
- Previous experience as a senior in a Residential Care or Nursing Home
- Passion for care of the elderly
- Experience of medication administration
