Job Title: Operations Manager ICP SubstationsWe are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of our ICP Substation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the project team in delivering projects to meet the high-level objectives of the business.
- Ensure that each project team delivers to the project remit, within budget and to a programme as agreed with the business and the client.
- Interface internally with teams and externally with clients to ensure project awareness is communicated widely.
- Manage internal and external resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Assist in providing engineering solutions and financial reporting to appropriate standards.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to provide excellent customer service and meet their expectations.
- Be aware of and promote Reach Active Limited's Health and Safety policies and risk management.
- Responsible for completing and issuing all required site documentation, including JSSP, DWR, H&S documentation, KPI documentation, and client/project reports.
- Experience in the utility sector, with respect to site management and product and sector experience and site conditions.
- Good customer service, people skills, and excellent organisation skills.
- Key competencies: customer service, team work, organisation and planning, health and safety, and risk management.
- Essential skills: installation of 11kV switchgear, commissioning of switchgear, earth testing, jointing appreciation, substation access up to and including 132kV, understanding of G81 or DNO equivalent, substation base installation experience, knowledge of DNO equipment, experience in managing contract conditions, ICP management, CSCS Professional Card (White) or Engineering Services Skill Card (Black), IT literate, First Aid at Work (3 Day Qualification), and full UK driving license.
- Desired skills: NRSWA (Supervisor), HNC/HND Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering degree or equivalent relevant industry qualification, City & Guilds Basic Electrical Theory, Lifting Operations Appointed Person (AP), Confined Spaces Appointed Person (AP), Confined Space Entry Certification, Cable Winch Operations Certification, Asbestos Awareness, and Manual Handling.
The role may require travel to all company sites in London & South East and throughout the UK, with occasional overnight stays, as and when required. Due to the nature of our works, there is, within reason, a requirement for all managers to cover out of hours works, i.e., weekends and on some occasions, nights to support the project teams.
