The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.


ROLE PROFILE:

The post holder is responsible for working with the Contracts Manager in delivering their project’s to meet the high level objectives of the Business and for ensuring that each project team delivers to the project remit, within budget and to a programme as agreed with the Business and the Client. The post holder will interface internally through their teams and externally with the Client to ensure project awareness is communicated widely.

You will have a utility background and will become a key member of our team, providing a focal point for all project activities whilst assisting in developing a business strategy and growth going forward.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • You'll be involved in Project Management of multiple projects, whilst supporting a wider team of Project Managers and Site Managers.
  • You’ll be responsible for the leadership and ownership of all works associated with the RA projects that you are managing
  • You will engage with the relevant RA teams in the delivery of pre-design, safety management, subcontractor evaluation & management, client engagement and overall project management.
  • Managing internal and external resources
  • Assist in providing engineering solutions
  • Assist in financial reporting, process management and quality assurance to appropriate standards.
  • You will work with our commercial and procurement team from a technical perspective to establish Framework agreements with multiple contractors to undertake these aspects of our projects, which varies from small reactive works to large planned infrastructure projects where subcontractor awards extend.
  • You will liaise with the Client’s and Stakeholders on your projects, providing excellent customer service to meet and exceed the client’s expectations.
  • Be aware of and promote Reach Active Group Limited Health and Safety policies and risk management.
  • Responsible for the completing and issuing of all required Site Documentation form your team on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, including JSSP,DWR, H&S documentation, KPI documentation and Client / Project reports.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that all process involved in the traceability of documentation is adhered to by your delivery team i.e. VISION


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:


Experience in the utility sector is essential with respect to site management and product and sector experience and site conditions, together with the law within the construction industry would be essential in this role. The role requires good customer service, good people skills, and excellent organisation skills.

ESSENTIAL:


  • Installation of 11kV Switchgear (panel boards and Packaged substations)
  • Commissioning of switchgear
  • Earth testing
  • Jointing appreciation
  • Substation access up to and including 132kV
  • Understanding of G81 or DNO equivalent
  • Substation base installation experience
  • Knowledge of DNO equipment
  • Experience in managing contract conditions e.g. NEC/JCT
  • ICP Management (Civils and Electrical)
  • CSCS Professional Card (White) or Engineering Services Skill Card (Black)
  • IT Literate
  • First Aid at Work (3 Day Qualification)
  • Full UK Driving License

  • NRSWA (Supervisor)
  • HNC/HND Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering degree or equivalent relevant industry qualification
  • City & Guilds Basic Electrical Theory
  • Lifting Operations Appointed Person (AP)

Additional Information:


The role may require to travel to all company sites in London & South East and throughout the UK, with occasional overnight stays, as and when required.


Due to the nature of our works, there is, within reason, a requirement for all Managers to cover out of hours works i.e. weekends and on some occasion’s nights to support the project teams.
