St George's Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Practitioner to join our team in southwest London.

About the Role:

We are offering a competitive salary of £43,141 per annum, plus benefits, for this exciting opportunity to work as part of our clinical research team. As a Clinical Research Practitioner, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing an agreed clinical research portfolio at St George's Hospital.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate study set-up and identify suitable patients through multidisciplinary team meetings and screening notes.
  • Collect data, interview patients, and support them throughout their involvement in clinical trials.
  • Evaluate patient eligibility and safe entry to clinical trials, coordinating investigations and arranging appropriate appointments according to trial protocol requirements.
  • Act as an ongoing resource and support to patients and their carers, regarding practical aspects of clinical trial participation.
  • Recognise the complex emotional and psychological needs of patients entering a clinical trial and provide an appropriate level of support.
  • Collect blood samples as required, adhering to the clinical trial protocol and ensuring safe handling and storage of specimens.

Requirements:

  • Able to demonstrate trust values

  • Experience of using Excel spreadsheets (desirable)
  • Experience of data entry and extraction electronic data collection tools (desirable)
