Clinical Research Role

Imperial College Healthcare is seeking an experienced research midwife/nurse or practitioner to work on the Generation Study sponsored by Genomics England.

The successful candidate will assist in the effective running of the study, consenting participants, and organizing sample collection while adhering to GCP principles.

This is a 12-month fixed-term role to cover maternity leave, with potential for extension.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Support the aims of the Trust and the NIHR clinical research network to improve the speed, quality, and integration of clinical research.
  2. Identify suitable participants, coordinate recruitment, and maintain study documentation.
  3. Ensure research safeguards participant well-being and adheres to ICH Good Clinical Practice.
About the Role

As a research midwife/nurse/practitioner, you will work primarily at Queen Charlotte's & Chelsea Hospital and St Mary's Hospital.

Requirements
  • Health professional registration or first degree in life sciences.
  • Attained or working towards a degree/certificate/diploma in management/professional nursing issues.
Experience and Skills
  • Relevant clinical experience within research.
  • Competent in storing and retrieving electronic data.
  • Knowledge of National Institute of Health Research (NIHR), its values, aims, and structure.
  • Experience in managing complex information.
  • Experience of supervision of junior staff.
