We are seeking a skilled Trading Underwriter to join our team at Aviva. As a Trading Underwriter, you will be responsible for servicing brokers, underwriting new business, renewals, and MTAs.
About the Role:- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and customers to understand their needs and provide whole customer solutions.
- Operate within agreed guidelines and authority levels to profitably grow the book of business.
- Communicate effectively with brokers and customers to build confidence in Aviva and make us their insurer of choice.
- Embrace and understand Aviva's regional SME & Mid Market trading strategy.
- Be curious to grow understanding of the commercial business.
- Previous property & liability and/or fleet underwriting experience is preferred, but not essential.
- The ability to analyse risks and communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers.
- Work collaboratively within a large complex organisation.
- Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation.
- Strong commercial business acumen to create and deliver business cases.
- Competitive salary depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
- Bonus opportunity - 8% of annual salary.
- Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
