Trading Underwriter

Reed is currently recruiting for a Trading Underwriter to join a well-established Bristol-based client. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a proactive and customer-focused individual.
The ideal candidate will be a general insurance professional with experience in underwriting, proficient in Excel, and a strong communicator. They will be responsible for engaging in negotiations and renewals with business partners, providing performance updates, and managing insurance risks effectively.
The role involves identifying and addressing underwriting issues, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure partner satisfaction, and analysing data using MS Excel to maintain high-quality output and informed decision-making.
The Trading Underwriter will also manage a variety of projects and tasks, adhering to deadlines and surpassing customer expectations. They will conduct in-depth underwriting discussions with business partners, showcasing strong communication and negotiation skills.
The successful candidate will have solid underwriting experience with a customer-centric approach, proficiency in MS Excel, and the ability to forge lasting connections with business partners. They will be capable of working efficiently without sacrificing quality and have excellent project and task management abilities.
