Siemen Gamesa is a global leader in the wind industry, and we are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Site Manager to join our team at the East Anglia ONE wind farm. As a key member of our service operations, you will be responsible for delivering service and maintenance activities, leading a team of technicians, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our wind turbines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the distribution of tasks among team members, ensuring timely completion of tasks and maintaining a high level of service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, actively promoting a safety culture within the team and reporting incidents and near misses.
  • Manage resources effectively to achieve site performance targets within budget, maintaining service and retrofit KPIs and ensuring tasks are completed within relevant timescales.
  • Maintain and develop good working relationships with customer organizations, escalating issues to the Site Manager when necessary.
  • Line manage and performance manage shift staff in line with Siemens Gamesa processes, monitoring sickness reporting and conducting back-to-work interviews.
  • Ensure the necessary infrastructure is available and processes are optimized, liaising with customers to obtain work permissions and approval of Risk Assessment Method Statements.
  • Support the hiring process of technicians, develop their skills, and coach the shift team.
  • Assist in the production and publication of accurate site reports for internal and external customers, and contribute to the creation of the site delivery plan.
  • Control and verify SAP data, releasing hours booking on service orders.

Requirements:

  • Experience in operational delivery at a site level, preferably in an offshore environment.
  • A track record of supporting delivery and assisting operational leaders in developing and delivering operational plans and commitments.
  • Demonstrated line management experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Permanently based in the Lowestoft office.
