Solar Field Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Solar Field Service Technician to join our team in Milton Keynes. As a key member of our operations and maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our solar plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take primary responsibility for solar plant performance and maintenance, ensuring equipment availability and optimal site conditions.
  • Perform pre-planned and reactive maintenance works across our solar farms, including electrical maintenance, solar panel cleaning, and HV maintenance (if qualified).
  • Effectively resolve work tickets and report issues to your line manager.
  • Liaise with internal and external teams, including in-house LV/HV personnel, grounds teams, and external subcontractors as required.
  • Provide mentoring and training to junior technicians where necessary.
  • Participate in the company's on-call rota for non-working hours, including weekends and Bank Holidays (1 in 5 for this region, with on-call allowances).
Requirements
  • Experience in industrial or utility-scale solar is preferred, but an industrial electrician background is also of interest.
  • A City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Electrical Engineering, Installation, Testing & Inspection, or similar electrical course.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential due to the remote nature of our sites.

  • A starting salary up to £42,000 per annum.
