Main Job Duties

  • As a Senior Clinical Fellow, you will be attached to Langley ward and/or the Renal Outlier team, leading daily reviews of inpatients under the renal team's supervision.
  • You will update and maintain the renal inpatient patient lists, participating in daily red to green meetings and attending weekend handover meetings.
  • Your responsibilities will include communicating with patients' relatives, supervising more junior medical colleagues, and keeping accurate patient records.
  • You will produce timely discharge letters, with accurate and comprehensive diagnoses, and supervise their production by more junior colleagues.
  • When necessary, you will participate in the management of emergencies and unexpected situations at the request of an appropriate Consultant.
  • You will agree to read and follow medical guidelines and policies, taking part in Clinical Governance activity, including Clinical Audit.
  • Regular attendance at training and education sessions in the department is expected.

Essential Criteria

  • Full GMC registration with a Licence to Practise is required.

Desirable Criteria

  • Achieved Grade/years experience is desirable.

Qualifications

  • MBBS is an essential qualification.
  • MRCP Part 1 is also essential.
