Description:

This is a Hybrid Administrative Professional role that requires a minimum of 3 days in office or as required. We are looking for a skilled individual to perform various administrative tasks.


Responsibilities:
  • General administrative tasks including answering phones and handling messages
  • Managing all scheduling, calendars, and Bring Forward system
  • Ensuring organization and follow-up on said Bring Forward system
  • Compiling, serving, and filing motion records and court documents
  • Drafting, sending, and replying to correspondence
  • Communicating with clients, experts, and courts
  • Preparing and sending invoices
  • Requesting conflict checks, opening and closing files
  • Managing documents in Document Management System and Relativity
  • Transcribing dictation and/or proofreading from an external center

Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant
  • Experience in insurance defense, health law, or dispute resolution and advocacy is an asset
  • Deep familiarity with The Rules of Civil Procedure, particularly service rules and deadlines
  • A keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • A strong work ethic
  • Ability to work effectively on a team and individually
  • Experience with technology and remote/hybrid environments
  • Experience with Relativity and Document Management Systems is an asset

Salary:
  • CAD $70,000 - CAD $90,000 per year
