Senior Financial Recovery Specialist

The Prudential Planning team is responsible for delivering key Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) initiatives for Nomura European Holdings (NEHS), primarily driven by UK and European regulatory requirements. The team ensures NEHS is adequately capitalised at all times in addition to identifying any threats to the viability of the firm and helps management identify appropriate actions.
This role involves working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure the bank's strategies and processes are in line with regulatory requirements. This includes preparing the bank for and responding to financial distress scenarios, ensuring business continuity and mitigating risks to financial stability.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Recovery Planning support: Assist to lead the creation and maintenance of the bank's recovery plan, which outlines strategies for recovery in distress.
- Resolution Planning: Support the development of the bank's capabilities with respect to the Resolvability Assessment Framework.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and interpret regulatory changes related to recovery and resolution planning.
- Scenario analysis and stress testing: Work closely with departments such as Treasury, Risk Management, Legal, IT, Operations and Business Resilience.
- Crisis Management Planning: Support efforts to refine the bank's crisis management procedures.
