Job Title: Financial Debt Recovery Specialist

Location: KT10 9SD

Estimated Salary: £19.53 per hour (PAYE)

Contract Type: Initial 6-Month Contract (with the possibility of extension)

The i-Jobs team is seeking a skilled Financial Debt Recovery Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our debt recovery department, you will be responsible for providing a holistic and person-centered housing debt recovery service across the borough.

Responsibilities:

  • Control and reconciliation of the system to ensure accurate and timely debt recoveries.
  • Pursue the recovery of debts due by agreed procedures.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and negotiate appropriate repayment arrangements.
  • Work with external partner debt collection agencies, ensuring prompt referral and ongoing liaison, including Attachment of Earnings.
  • Manage direct debits to facilitate efficient payment processing.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year in Debt Management/Recovery.
  • Experience in a Local Government Environment or similar.
  • A working knowledge of CIVICA Financials.
  • Accounts receivable experience within a large multi-functional organization.
  • Experience dealing with Debt Recovery Agents/Solicitors.
