Job Title: Chief Executive Officer

Lucas Executive Search is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead our client, Extern, a community and voluntary organisation operating in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

About the Role:

The Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic leadership and direction to the organisation, ensuring the delivery of the charity's strategic direction and outcomes. This will involve developing and implementing policies and plans to maintain the highest service standards, as well as leading the development and implementation of programmes that meet the needs of the communities in which Extern operates.

About the Person:

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of two years' senior management experience, reporting to a Chief Executive Officer or Board. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience of managing a budget in excess of £10 million/€10 million and a minimum of three years' experience of building and leading teams using an inclusive and empowering leadership style.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the organisation
  • Develop and implement policies and plans to maintain the highest service standards
  • Lead the development and implementation of programmes that meet the needs of the communities in which Extern operates
  • Manage a budget in excess of £10 million/€10 million
  • Build and lead teams using an inclusive and empowering leadership style
