The role of a teaching assistant can be very rewarding, offering training and development opportunities to enhance your skills within the education sector. Each day can bring new challenges and experiences as you work with different groups of pupils, teachers, and curriculum subjects, keeping your role dynamic and engaging.

By supporting the class teacher, you will play a major role in helping pupils succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. You will witness firsthand the progression and growth of the pupils you support.

Key qualifications for this role include:

GCSE grade C/4 or above in Maths and English
Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification or similar childcare qualification
Some experience of working within a school setting or with children
Enhanced DBS check (we can provide a DBS if you do not already have one at a cost)
Safeguarding Certificate or safeguarding training can be provided
Patience and empathy towards pupils you are supporting
Confidence and a proactive approach
