About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Chester Zoo. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the kitchen team in the preparation and presentation of food, ensuring consistency and quality across all outlets.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our customers and align with our sustainability goals.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Train and mentor junior chefs to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a senior chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations.
  • Minimum Level 2 Food Safety certification.
