Job Summary:

Ethan Employment is seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating brake presses to produce high-quality metal parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate assigned brake presses to produce metal parts according to specifications
  • Transfer finished products to the appropriate area
  • Perform quality checks during machine operation to ensure production meets specifications
  • Set up machines according to specifications and ensure availability of materials
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance on assigned machines
  • Troubleshoot basic problems associated with assigned equipment
  • Escalate unresolved issues according to escalation procedure

Requirements:

  • WHMIS certification
  • Experience working on brake presses or punch presses
  • Ability to use measuring equipment (calipers, micrometer, etc.)
  • Able to read blueprints and follow instructions to set up and prepare materials
  • Able to maintain production process in an efficient and effective state
  • Able to install tooling and program depth gauges of various sizes and degrees
  • Mandatory skills: team player, positive attitude, approachable, willing to learn
