The Financial Communications and Media Manager will play a key role in enhancing SGS's reputation and establishing its strategic narrative in the public eye. This will involve ensuring regular coverage from financial and corporate media outlets, including the production of press releases targeting a financial audience and interaction with journalists specializing in business and economy.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to boost SGS's reputation and establish its strategic narrative.
- Produce high-quality press releases targeting a financial audience and ensure timely distribution to relevant media outlets.
- Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts, including journalists specializing in business and economy.
- Collaborate with internal corporate and operational departments to gather information needed to support SGS's business narrative.
- Monitor and report on SGS's reputation in the media, working closely with the Digital Analytics team.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the SGS corporate public relations strategy.
- Strong writing skills in English, with the ability to combine synthetic, analytical, and strategic messaging.
- Ability to articulate impactful written and verbal reactions and representations on behalf of the Company.
- Ability to think strategically and understand the complexities of different industries and target audiences.
- Quick learner with a talent for coming up with innovative ideas and implementing them.
- Dynamic, influential, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with flexibility and autonomy.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, communications, or related field.
- 5-10+ years of experience in financial communications, corporate communications, or business media.
- Experience writing financial and corporate press releases.
- Excellent network of Swiss and international media contacts, including journalists specializing in business and economy.
- Required English (native or bilingual proficiency) and German (professional working proficiency), fluent French is a plus.
- Experience working in an international environment and understanding complex organizations.
