Job Summary:

The Financial Communications and Media Manager will ensure that SGS receives regular coverage from financial and corporate media outlets. This will include the production of regular press releases targeting a financial audience as well as interaction with journalists specializing in business and economy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce and write press releases targeting a financial audience
  • Build relations with the business and economy departments of influential media in Switzerland and key international markets
  • Establish and protect SGS's strategic narrative and reputation in the media by juggling a combination of proactive and reactive communications
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the SGS corporate public relations strategy
  • In conjunction with the Digital Analytics team, regularly monitor and report on SGS's reputation in the media
Requirements:
  • Strong writing skills in English with an ability to combine synthetic, analytical, and strategic messaging
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, communications, or related field
  • 5-10+ years working in financial communications, corporate communications, or business media
  • Experience writing financial and corporate press releases
  • Excellent network of Swiss and international media contacts, including journalists specializing in business and economy
  • Required English (native or bilingual proficiency) and German (professional working proficiency), fluent French is nice to have
