Punch Press Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Punch Press Operator to join our team at Ethan Employment. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating assigned equipment, transferring finished products, and ensuring quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate assigned equipment, including punch presses and break presses, to produce high-quality products.
  • Transfer finished products to the appropriate area, ensuring timely and efficient production.
  • Perform regular checks during machine operation to ensure quality and specifications are met.
  • Set up machines according to specifications and ensure availability of necessary materials.
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance on assigned machines to ensure optimal operating efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot basic problems and escalate unresolved issues to equipment vendors.

Requirements:

  • WHMIS certification and experience working on punch presses or break presses.
  • Ability to use measuring equipment, such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions to set up and prepare materials.
  • Ability to maintain production processes in an efficient and effective state.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, approachable demeanor, and willingness to learn.
