Job Summary

Office Angels is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing critical support in various areas, including subcontractor registration, payment processing, and management accounts.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous experience in an accounts role, particularly within the construction industry. If you possess proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and knowledge of accounting software, ideally Sage, we encourage you to apply.

  1. As an Accounts Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include registering new subcontractors, updating and amending subcontractor details, verifying subcontractors on the HMRC website, and adding/updating projects on the internal system.
  2. You will also assist in creating, checking, and amending subcontractor payments, allocating direct debits from the banking system to Sage, supporting petty cash maintenance and reconciliation, conducting monthly bank account reconciliations, and assisting with the year-end audit process.
