About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Care Support Specialist to join our team at Leonard Cheshire UK. As a Care Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assistance with Daily Life Tasks: Provide personal care, medication, and mealtime support to our customers, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Escort and Support: Accompany customers to external events, appointments, and activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Person-Centred Approach: Support our customers in achieving their individual aspirations, promoting maximum independence and quality of life.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with customers, families, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and Creativity: Work flexibly and creatively with customers and their families, adapting to their changing needs and circumstances.
  • Personal Care Experience: Ideally possess personal care experience, although this is not essential.
  • Teamwork and Pressure Management: Demonstrate ability to work under pressure and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Flexibility and Availability: Be flexible to work within rostered hours and participate in an on-call rota when required.
