About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Youth Support Worker to join our team at Pennine Care NHS FT. As an Eating Disorders Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting young people and their families affected by eating disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the assessment and treatment of young people with eating disorders, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Provide individual and group support to young people, promoting recovery and well-being through a range of therapeutic activities.
  • Work in partnership with families and carers to understand their needs and concerns, providing information and support to empower them to make informed decisions.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to ensure seamless care and support for young people.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with the Trust's values and strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Psychology degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience working in CAMHS or a similar setting, with a strong understanding of eating disorders and their impact on young people and families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with young people, families, and professionals.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and support.
