The Associate Director will provide management of the Civil and Structures group, monitoring and delivering projects with effective resource utilization. This includes maintaining technical quality, professionalism, and completing design activities to programme. Staff performance will be monitored and coached, implementing training, QA, and Health and Safety measures.

This role offers the opportunity to:

  • Monitor monthly CAD requirements and two-weekly engineering workload forecasts.
  • Carry out engineering concept design to detailed design, tender, and contract on-site supervision, ensuring projects meet design briefs and deadlines.
  • Maintain consistent quality and standards in design projects and reports, conducting regular 'in-house' design reviews and checks.
  • Manage contract staff or third-party appointments.
  • Promote excellent client relationships and contacts, achieving high satisfaction levels and repeat business.
  • Develop new business opportunities and participate in company presentations.
  • Motivate staff to build coherent, high-performing teams, setting objectives, monitoring performance, coaching, and developing staff.
  • Monitor project progress, design variations, and financial budgets.
